You can control Things on your Mac or iPad with keyboard shortcuts.

This article is for our discontinued Things 2 version. If you’re looking for the Things 3 version, click here.

Mac

Things for Mac has many keyboard shortcuts which make it easy to use the app. You can view them all in this PDF. We also offer the guide in German and Japanese.

You can also find this information inside the app by going to the menu bar at the top of your screen and clicking Help > Keyboard Shortcuts.

iPad

Things for iPad supports several shortcuts for controlling the app with external, physical keyboards. They are:

⌘ Cmd + N: Create a new to-do
⌘ Cmd + 0: Go to Inbox
⌘ Cmd + 1: Go to Today
⌘ Cmd + 2: Go to Next
⌘ Cmd + 3: Go to Scheduled
⌘ Cmd + 4: Go to Someday
⌘ Cmd + 5: Go to Projects
⌘ Cmd + 6: Go to Logbook
