Here’s how to email to-dos from Things.

Mac

Sharing Your To-Dos in Plain Text

You can send emails containing the titles and notes of your to-dos by dragging them out of Things for Mac and into a message in Mail.

  1. Create a new email message in Mail.
  2. Go to Things on your Mac.
  3. Select the to-dos you’d like to email by clicking them in the list.

    To select more than one to-do, hold down ⌘ Cmd and click to select others, or press ⌘ Cmd + A to select all to-dos in the list at once.

  4. Drag and drop the items from Things into the email to send the to-dos’ titles and notes as plain text.

Sharing Your To-Dos in PDF Format

If you’d rather have your to-dos formatted when sending them, you can save them to a PDF file and send the PDF as a mail attachment instead.

  1. In Things on your Mac, select the to-dos you’d like to send by clicking them in the list.

    To select more than one to-do, hold down ⌘ Cmd and click to select others, or press ⌘ Cmd + A to select all to-dos in the list at once.

  2. Go to the menu bar at the top of your screen and click File > Print.
  3. Adjust the print settings via the drop down menus to the right.
  4. Once you’ve set up everything to your satisfaction, click Print.
  5. From the sheet that rolls out, click PDF in the bottom left corner.
  6. Select Save as PDF and follow the instructions to create a PDF.
  7. Attach the PDF to your email to share your to-dos.
iPad

You can send emails containing the titles and notes of your to-dos or projects from within Things for iPad.

Emailing an Individual To-Do

  1. In Things on your iPad, tap the to-do you would like to email.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap Mail.

Emailing an Entire Project

To email the contents of an entire project from Things iPad:

  1. In Things on your iPad, tap Projects to see a list of all of your projects.
  2. Tap the project you’d like to email to see all its contents.
  3. Tap the project’s header to view a popover with the project’s details.
  4. From the popover, tap the Share button.
  5. Tap Mail.
iPhone

You can send emails containing the titles and notes of your to-dos or projects from within Things for iPhone.

Emailing an Individual To-Do

  1. In Things on your iPhone, tap the to-do you would like to email.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap Mail.

Emailing an Entire Project

To email the contents of an entire project from Things for iPhone:

  1. In Things on your iPhone, tap Projects to see a list of all of your projects.
  2. Tap the grey > to the right of the project’s title to access the project’s details.
  3. Tap the Share button.
  4. Tap Mail.
